Sabina MANZARI 

Researcher



Sabina Manzari was born in Rome (Italy) in 1985. She received her M.Sc. with honors in Medical Engineering from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in 2010, with a thesis on the development of textile RFID devices for human body monitoring. 

She is currently working in the same university as a PHd student in Geoinformation. Her research interests include Electromagnetism, Passive short-range sensing by chemical-loaded antennas for Environment air quality monitoring, and Wireless Health Monitoring by means of wearable radiofrequency identification techniques.

In 2010-2011 she was a Visiting Researcher in the RFID research group of  Tampere University of Technology (Finland). Her research was mainly focused in passive RFID sensors development for temperature and heat monitoring.

She is co-author of five Journal Papers and more than ten International Conferences. She serves as reviewer for IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, International Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Annales of Telecommunications.

In 2012 She has been awarded the IEEE AP-S 2012 prize of central south Italy. In 2012 she received the "best Student Paper Award" at IEEE RFID-TA conference in Nice (France).
